I have done it all, I am enlightened''. 'They are stuck, completely stuck. '

Free spirits

Our authentic nature can become so unfamiliar to us, that people become spontaneously joyful and creative around us we might even find ourselves becoming uncomfortable, annoyed, irritable, or even embarrassed in their company. However, we are secretly attracted to people who display their authenticity. We call them "free spirits", or flamboyant, artistic, or eccentric. We label them as if they are somehow faulty, damaged, and in need of repair. Yet they are secretly our heroes and we always mourn the loss of their presence when they are gone. Such beings are the beautiful mirrors that enter our life to remind us of the child that died within us.'

T he Presence Process. Michael Brown. A Healing Journey into Present Moment Awareness.

By participating experientially in The Presence Process, our life experience enters healing. In showing us how to step beyond our personal physical , mental, and emotional afflictions and addictions, and by empowering us to facilitate ourselves into wholeness, The Presence Process takes a bold step into a new paradigm of healthcare. The lucid flow of this text magnetically and gently draws us into a transformational experience that automatically grounds us into the vibrant radiance of Presence Moment Awareness - where we find our liberation, our healing, our innate wisdom.

Blissful unconscious life

Until 1989, South African-born Michael Brown was living what he called a blissfully unconscious life as a music journalist. He then developed an acutely painful neurological condition for which conventional medicine had neither cure nor relief. This caused him to set out on what became a 9-year odyssey of self-healing. His exploration took him on numerous alternative healing modalities - then beyond. The outcome is an evolutionary new healing procedure called The Presence Process. Michael currently lives in south Africa where he has been sharing The Presence Process through personal facilitation.

In 1989 South African-born Michael Brown developed an acutely painful neurological condition called Horton’s Syndrome. As Michael’s quest to find relief unfolded, he began entering “present moment awareness”; a paradigm of heightened consciousness that appeared to be running parallel to the conventional and mundane world experience. He discovered that his repeated entry into this enlivened state of Being, which he accomplished through ceremonial practice and conscious breathing, resulted in a decrease of his own painful condition to the point that it subsided completely.

What is the presence process

The Presence Process is a self-facilitated, step by step procedure that empowers us to restore balance to the quality of the life experience that we encounter right now. Essentially, what The Presence Process accomplishes, is that it initiates a journey into an experience that many of us are now calling “present moment awareness”; a state of being in which we make choices based on what is happening right now, and not on our unresolved experiences of the past, or what we fearfully believe may happen in the future.

The consequence of charting a pathway into this awakened state is that we simultaneously become conscious of where and how our awareness is unconsciously anchored to, and being negatively affected by, what happened in the past. It also alerts us to what we unconsciously, and usually fearfully, believe the future may bring. In other words, by entering The Presence Process, we become aware of a time-based aspect to our consciousness that is seemingly sabotaging us, and in the same breath, we are instructed how to overcome this predicament.

By entering The Presence Process experientially, we are taught how to initiate and self-facilitate a procedure that enables us to gently extract our awareness from this time-based predicament, so that we may fully enter and ground ourselves in the present moment. Simultaneously, we are instructed how to evolve our perception from reactionary to responsive. This enables us to discontinue the behavior that causes our awareness to become unconsciously distracted by experiences that are now no longer in play, or are not yet in play.

All our emotional, mental, and physical discomforts that arise within this present life experience are effects of unresolved experiences that occurred “in time”. Therefore, as we consciously move our attention more fully into the present moment, our discomforts automatically surface, unravel, and come to resolution. In The Presence Process we call this procedure of automatic resolution, “integration”. Integration may also be metaphorically thought of as “digestion”. The Presence Process is therefore a procedure that enables us to gently digest our unresolved past and our fearfully projected future, so that our awareness is freed up to be fully available here and now. The implications are that we gain a new lease on living.

There are few opportunities in the hustle and bustle of our “modern world” life experience that invite us to take an honest look at our circumstances with the intent on transforming what we think is “our lot in life” into “a whole lot of Life”. The Presence Process is this opportunity. It teaches us how to use the world as a mirror to see what we successfully hide from ourselves; the abundantly fertile compost for our personal evolution. It then shows us how to use these hidden riches to fertilize our life experience with authentic joy, abundance, and health.

So in essence, The Presence Process is an experiential journey that empowers us to deliver ourselves from the deathly mental predicament of subsisting in a predominantly time-based consciousness, into the vibrant and radiant experience of this moment. Although it may sound as if this Process is destination-orientated, it is not; it is about initiating a journey that is by all accounts eternal. Our life “in time” is limited; yet our possibilities in the present moment are infinite.
